THE NAVIKA MADRID EDIT
Places to move, slow down, eat well and come back to.
Madrid moves fast, but you don’t always have to.
This is our little edit of the city: the studios we’d book, the places we go when we need a reset, where we stop for something good and a few spots we genuinely think are worth knowing.
No endless lists. Just places we’d recommend to a friend.
MOVE
For whatever kind of movement you need that day.
GAÏA YOGA & SOUL STUDIO
For a yoga morning.
One to save when you feel like getting on the mat.
From more dynamic practices like Vinyasa to slower sessions such as Yin, there are different ways to move depending on what you feel like that day.
Go for something stronger when you want to move, or choose a slower practice when that’s what your body is asking for.
ASANA GROOVE
For yoga with a little more rhythm.
A yoga studio with practices including Jivamukti, Vinyasa, Yin, Yoga Nidra and sound meditation.
One to try when you want the class to feel like more than simply going through the poses.
ARO
For Reformer days.
A movement space to save for the days when you want to get on the Reformer and properly move.
Controlled movement, strength and that feeling of leaving class knowing you’ve worked your whole body.
CORAZÓN STUDIO
For heat, music and movement.
A studio combining Pilates and yoga with different class formats, including heated sessions and more strength-focused practices.
One for the days when you want a little more energy from your class.
BATELIER STUDIO
For the barre girls.
This is our barre stop.
Movement built around precision, strength and that particular kind of burn that looks very graceful until you’re the one holding the position.
Meet us at the barre.
WE/ON
For the days when you want options.
A full gym with lots of different ways to move, from Pilates, yoga and barre to strength, cycling and other classes.
Perfect when what you feel like doing changes from one day to the next.
WALK
EL RETIRO
For walking without making it a workout.
Go with no step goal, no route you need to complete and, every now and then, no headphones either.
Walk, sit in the sun, grab your favourite book or stay a little longer than you planned.
You’ll also often see groups of girls around Retiro doing Pilates, yoga and other outdoor classes together.
If you’ve passed them before and thought about joining one, try it.
Bring your mat, join the group and see how it feels.
Sometimes moving with people you don’t know yet is how a community starts.
SOMETHING GOOD
ANZEST
For the post-class stop.
One of those places we genuinely love coming back to, and friends of NAVIKA too.
Think matcha, chai, fresh coconuts, complete breakfasts and, for the sweet ones, some seriously good desserts made without added sugar.
The kind where you take the first bite and would never guess.
Go after class, meet a friend or make it the reason for a slow morning.
HONEST GREENS
For lunch with the girls.
Easy, casual and one of those options that works when everyone wants something different.
Bowls, vegetables, proteins, sides and plenty of options to build a lunch that feels good.
Order a few things, sit down with your girls and stay at the table longer than you planned.
RESET
For the days when what you need is to stop for a while.
THE ORGANIC SPA
For a proper reset.
The first one we’d save.
A wellness space centred around massages and treatments with a strong focus on organic products and a more natural approach to self-care.
Book a massage, put your phone away and let someone else take care of everything for an hour.
Sometimes that’s the whole plan.
MERI
For hot, cold and quiet.
A Nordic-inspired wellness space built around the ritual of heat and cold.
Think Finnish sauna, cold plunge, breathing and a moment to slow everything down.
Save this one for a day when the reset is the plan, rather than something squeezed in between two other things.
NATURA SPACES
For natural body care.
A wellness space focused on a more natural approach to massage and body treatments, using elements such as natural oils and plants.
One for when you want to slow down, take care of your body and keep things simple.
FOR YOUR KITCHEN
A couple of places worth knowing for the weekly shop.
ESPACIO ORGÁNICO
For the big organic shop.
A supermarket focused on organic food, with fresh produce, pantry staples and plenty of things to discover for the kitchen.
The kind of place where you go in for three things and suddenly remember everything your fridge was missing.
SUPERNORMAL
For really good everyday food.
Seasonal organic fruit and vegetables, pantry staples and simple food from carefully selected producers.
A good one to save when you want your weekly shop to feel a little less supermarket and a little more considered.
Simple food, done properly.
MAKE MADRID YOURS
You don’t need to do all of this in one weekend.
Book the class you’ve been wanting to try.
Take your mat to Retiro.
Get the matcha.
Have lunch with your girls.
Give yourself an afternoon to reset.
Fill the fridge with things you actually want to cook.
Save somewhere new for next time.
The best city guides aren’t the ones you finish. They’re the ones you keep coming back to.
See you around Madrid.
MOVE. BREATHE. FLOW.
